Inheritance and debts : debts on husband

As Salaam 'Alaikum Wa Rahmatu Allahi Wa Barakatuh, Dr. Kahf, I pray this reaches you and yours in the best of health and Iman. As I am organizing our family finances and records, it came to my attention from my husband's eldest daughter, that she "loaned" him money for various expenses, over several years ; yet when I asked him to list all of the outstanding debts, he has not mentioned these. Later I asked him again if there are any other debtors I need to be aware of in the event of his passing, and he said "no."..... ?
