This study compares the photovoltaic green roof performance with the photovoltaic concrete roof performance experimentally.

The study began with an overview of solar cells, green roof technology, and Integrated PV and green roof systems.

Voltage characteristics depend on temperature levels.

Lower temperature means better PV efficiency.

The research focused on the experimental evaluation of Photovoltaic (PV) – green roofs over June 2015.

Two types of plants, Gazania and Sedum, were selected for the PVgreen systems while a PV-Concrete configuration was used as the reference roof.

These roofing systems were developed and tested at the Engineering laboratory of mu'tah University/Jordan.

Research focused on electrical differential performances, and thermal analysis .

The results obtained for a sunny, ten-day time period revealed that the mean percent of increase of power output for the PVs of 6.01% and 6.55% for PV-sedum and PV-gazania, respectively.

Gazania showed the best interaction with the PVs, verifying the positive synergy between the PVs and the plants Conclusively, the present work demonstrated the benefits of the PV-green roofs and provides the experimental evaluation of PV-green systems Under the warm climatic conditions such as Jordan
