الملخص الإنجليزي

The purpose of this research is to set a proposal to establish business continuity plan in field of information technology for all sectors in Kuwait, as well as, set a road map for business continuity plan.

This plan will depend on three basic factors including senior management, human resources and operational matters (including hardware and software).

This research also indicates importance of all factors participated in setting plan, with pointing out the difference between “disaster recovery plan” and “business resumption plan” and “business continuity plan”.

This will bridge the gap between public and private sectors with analysing the current situation of Kuwait compared with international standards.

The survey results indicate the urgent need for cooperation between different working sectors in Kuwait to bridge the gap in applying and executing the strategic plans, as well as achieving the exchanged utilization of technological capabilities in public sector and experts in private sector to conclude to best of international standards to provide best electronic services without any interruption with high reliance.
