Renting a property on mortgage : renting a property purchased on interest-mortgage

Dear Dr. Monzer, Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Following is a financial question : Should a person who rents a residential place be concerned about the possibility of an existing mortgage on the property (which translates into Riba) ? Is the renter obliged to investigate such thing before renting ? Basically, can one live and pray in a place that is purchased via mortgage ?
