Murabahah and installment sale : carbon emissions trading

Assalaamu Alaykum WRB Sh. Monzer : InSha'Allah Ta’ala all is well with you and the family. Shaykh, what is your opinion on trading carbon emissions ? Or as they say 'carbon trading.' Effectively companies /countries / individuals can 'sell' their right to emit greenhouse gases (GHG, in this case CO 2) which is their 'carbon footprint'. And whoever wants to emit, can purchase this right from the seller. It is my understanding that currently there is no centralized exchange to regulate this market. But soon I think there will be an exchange, with futures, options, and all sorts of derivatives coming. Jazaka Allah Khayr. Was-Salaam Rauf
