Conventional and Islamic finance of home purchase : home financing

Asalamu Alaykum, I hope when this letter reaches you and your family is in good health. I bought a house couple years back with conventional mortgage ; before I buy it, I have researched about this issue I have asked many scholars some they say there is Fatwa that you could buy house in America with the conventional mortgage, and some say it’s totally Haram if it’s involved with interest so they say your option is the Shari’ah way like (Lariba or guidance). It’s been confusing for my wife and I like the way they calculate things like Ijarah and their profits. I would really appreciate it if you could shed some light on this matter and please tell me that I am doing something Haram and I should consult immediately with (Lariba or guidance) or that okay with my conventional mortgage.
