Analysis of smoke produced from the some common and suggested cigarettes

Four types of tobacco packs (MA ،ES، AS، MI ) have been selected according to the following criteria including the most common types consumed by smokers .Each type of selected cigarettes is used to make three types of suggested cigarettes in the laboratory by adding green tea and mint in different concentration .

In this study , NOVA analytical systems is used for measuring NO2, CO and NH3 gas release from selected and suggested cigarettes.

The highest amount of CO was obtained from the AS and this value is higher than from the threshold limit value, followed by MI and ES, while the lowest amount of CO is obtained from the MA.Whereas the amount of NO2 is obtained from the selected and suggested cigarettes are lower than the legal airborne permissible exposure limit ,but NH3 is observed high in AS and is recorded as47.3ppm , this value is higher than the threshold limit value.

while smoking of (MA, ES and MI) selected and suggested cigarette contains a low concentration of NH3.
