الملخص الإنجليزي

In this study we aimed to reinforce the evaluation level of the software systems evolution, by examining a set of data belong to open source software systems.

This reinforcement may help the developers to detect the normal or abnormal growth on the systems over time.

We presented a methodology based on the software metrics to study and evaluate the evolution of the software systems over time.

We also, provided a framework to analyze the data of the software metric history.

This data is a set of numerical metric value collected to all classes in releases to the system.

More than 600 releases for different systems ware studied and analyzed.

We discussed two main things on this study the first one is studying the Nature of size growing among releases and the second one is studying the Nature of complexity of software releases.

The results of the study is set of numeric values represented the rate of growth in size and complexity of the system releases.

This result Interpreted in more than one perspective, all Interpretations help us to build some of observations to predict the state of the system in terms of change and stability
