In this thesis we report the fabrication of Single wall Carbon NanoTubes (SWCNTs) based materials out of mainly gelatin and water to study microwaves thermal heating effect.

In order to study the microwaves thermal heating effect, a sample with desired dielectric properties was fabricated and different samples concentrations by weight (0%, 0.05%, 0.10%, 0.15%, 0.2%, 0.4 and 0.6%) of SWCNTs were made to enhance their dielectric properties.

The dielectric constants (real〖 ε〗^' and imaginary ε" ) were measured at different positions of the samples as a function of frequency and concentrations of SWCNTs and their average was found.

The measurements showed that the fabricated samples are in good homogeneity and the SWCNTs are dispersed very well in the samples.

The microwave thermal heating effect due to the application of 3GHz frequency was investigated were the increase in temperature was recorded with time for each concentration.

A four pole Debye was used to fit the measured real dielectric constant as a function of frequency and four relaxation times were obtained.

The study showed that SWCNTs are more attached to water (bound and free) in the samples than being attached to Gelatin (protein).
