The Feed industry in Jordan has a lot of challenges due to high competition in the market and high energy price volatility.

Energy improvement is an important way to reduce production costs and to increase predictable earning.

A National Poultry Company used as a representative case study for other feed producers and to discover various ways and means to reduce the energy consumption without influencing the manufacturing procedure.

In addition to identify possible solutions to improve energy efficiency.

There are many opportunities available at individual feed mill plants to reduce energy consumption and could be performed through the application of energy management system.

A discussion of energy consumption characteristics of the feed mill in National Poultry Company is provided along with a description of the main processes.

and identifying the rates of the company's energy consumption (electricity and fuel), The study focused on the three major energy consuming areas at the resort to identify energy conservation opportunities: Lighting System, Compressed Air System and Steam Boilers..

The Study concluded a group of results, The lighting load reduced by about 0.01%, The cost saving gained from compressed air system (4%) and There is a direct correlation between the reduction rationalizations of diesel consumption compared with the reduced cost of the product (feed), which in turn works to increased profit margins (8.4%).
