الملخص الإنجليزي

In this paper, I will study ihc microstructure of the dictionaries of synonyms composed between 1718 and 1884.

This study will be led on all the distinctive dictionaries of synonym*, which represent 22 dictionaries.

I will show that two different ways arc followed in order to build the srructure of the articles: Girard's (1718) and Roubaud's (1785) methods.

Girard's method is minimalist, whereas Roubaud * is much more abundant.

Almost all the dictionaries of synonymists that came after Roubaud have built their articles using both Girard's and Roubaud's methods.

I wish to show that the position of the different elements in the articles arc semantically important, since all these elements help the synonymists to indicate the semantic differences between the compared synonyms.

I will also study the microstructure of the articles, especially by observing the article "acte.

action’ in the 22 dictionaries of the corpus.

This will allow me to focus on the essential dements of the articles in this kind of dictionaries, as well as the importance of commentaries and examples.

الملخص الفرنسي

Dans cct ariidc, nous nous proposons dc conduire unc etude des microstructures des dictionnaircs dc synonymcs disrinctifs composes cntrc 1718 a 1884.

Ainsi.

notre etude sera mencc sur I'ensemblc des dictionnaircs de synonymes distinctifs, soit 22 dictionnaires.

En ce qui conccme la mani£re d’agcncer les articles, nous vcrrons qu’il y a deux ccoles : celle de Girard (1718) ct celle de Roubaud (1785).

Ainsi nous constatcrons que le travail de Girard est minimalistc.

tandis quc celui de Roubaud est foisonnam.

La quasi-totalite des synonymistes vcnant aprfcs Roubaud se trouvc a mi-chemin entre la manierc de proceder de Girard et cdlc de Roubaud.

Nous souhaitons montrer que la position des diffifrcnts elements dans les arcides tient un r6lc semantiquc important puisquc c*cst gricc a I’ctudc de chacun dc ccs poincs quc lc synonymiste condut quc Ics termes synonymes posscdcnt une difference semantiquc nc pcrmcttant pas au lecteur dc confondre les termes.

Nous dudicrons la microsrructure des artidcs en obscrvanr cn ddail I’artide « acte, action » dans les 22 dictionnaircs de nocre corpus afin dc montrer les dements csscntids dans Ics articles dc ce type d'ouvrage.

et surtout I’importance des commentaires et des exemples.
