The study throws spotlight on brain fingerprinting, a process by which brain of a perpetrator is searched for any information or memories about the crime he committed.

Study draws an analogy between brain fingerprinting and other criminal evidence techniques and investigates the legality of brain fingerprinting as a proof from the perspectives of law and Islamic Law.

Viewpoint of the researcher was also demonstrated.

Study summed up with a number of findings and recommendations, major among them are the following: brain fingerprinting is not a magical solution in criminal evidence field as it is still under research.

Study recommended paying more attention to neurological evidences as new techniques in criminal evidence field.

Among the key findings is also the importance of legal regulation of information documentation to achieve justice and guarantee personal freedoms and rights.
