In the current research, NAUA code is used to study the aerosol behavior in Light Water Reactor containment in case of a hypothetical core melt accident.

Aerosol particles are described by the aerosol general dynamic equation which determines the time evolution of the aerosol number density under the effect of all physical and chemical phenomena.

NAUA Mod 5 is a computer program which calculates aerosol number and volume distributions as a function of particle size and time and solves the general dynamic aerosol coagulation and deposition problem after nuclear reactor accident.

The results are compared with the experimental data which are collected from a number of experimental studies simulating containment aerosol behaviors.

Good agreements are found between theoretical and experimental data.
