Surgical laparoscopic artificial insemination in standing position in Barki ewes in Egypt

This paper describes a novel method of laparoscopic artificial insemination in 8 ewes (Barki) with diluted fresh semen.

The semen was collected from ram in farm of animal reproduction research institute (ARRI) in Giza.

The semen was diluted and examined at the unit of artificial insemination in (ARRI).

The ewes were examined ultrasonographically for pregnancy 60 days after insemination.

The time of operation and amount of CO2 used to provide sufficient insufflation were recorded at the end of study.
