اتجاهات الصحفيين الفلسطينيين نحو ممارسة الصحافة الاستقصائية : دراسة ميدانية

This study aims to identify the reasons for the reluctance of Palestinian journalists from the practicing of investigative journalism in spite of conducting so many training courses on it, and to identify the most important obstacles that may encounter the work in this kind of journalism, through monitoring formed attitudes among a sample of (94) Palestinian journalists who have been trained on the achievement of investigative reporting.

In addition, the researcher surveyed the investigations published in the Palestinian press, and another survey of the number of journalists who have been trained on this type of journalism, and use the interview as a tool to support the documentation of the cognitive framework of the research.

The study found that percentage of the journalists who conducted investigations from ones who have received training did not exceed (10.5%) and the proportion of those who practiced this work and accomplished two investigative reports did not exceed (13.5%).

The study also revealed that the most important obstacles were self-fear of the difficulty of the completion of investigative reporting in addition to the fear of prosecution or the influential, while the administrative obstacles turned out to be the fear of sources in the public institutions from the free-spoken and the lack of materialistic resources.

The absence of laws that protect journalists from prosecution was one of the most important legal obstacles that have hindered journalists from the successful practicing of investigative journalism.
