This study aims at investigating the general characteristics of self concept of the drug users in Alhuda prison in Omdurman, also investigating the differences in the self concept of the drug users that relate to age and level of education.

To achieve this goal the researcher used the descriptive method .

The study sample was composed of (30) subjects their ages were about (22-42) years .

Harce and Purse self concept scale used as a data collection tool.

The study found that the self concept was low among the drug users in the prison.

Also there were no differences in the dimensions of self concept that can be attributed to the variables of age and level of education.

The study ended with some recommendations and suggestions for future studies related to the research results.

They include: Instilling Islamic Values and traditions in youth.

Enlightening and educating students about Drug through different subjects in the school curricula.

The government should seek a substitute punishment for imprisoning
