The eighties of the last century were characterized by the emergence of a set of female writers.

Malika MOKEDDEM is one of those writers who annouce, through their female personalities, their suffocation in an ancestral society full of chains which understimate the women.

Skipping the topic of the independence war, Malika MOKEDDEM evokes the topics of the women’s conditions through adopting an aggressive stylistic discourse that question the process of writing in itself and shapes the identity of this latter through the retrieval of the social and individual memory.

Her works which narrate women’s stories in patriarchal worlds take into considerartion the form of biographies.
