Molecular detection of aeromonas hydrophila and pseudomonas aeruginosa isolated from tilapia farms

Fish are considered a good source of high quality animal protein.

Recently, Kafrelsheikh fish farms have suffered from outbreaks.

The bacterial diseases is one of these out breaks which led to great economic losses.

The current study aimed to isolation and identification of these pathogen.

In this study 180 fish samples were collected from different tilapia farms in Kafrelsheikh for isolation of bacterial pathogens.

The bacterial isolates were identified by traditional methods then confirmed by PCR technique using specific primers.

PCR confirmed 90 isolates of A.hydrophila at the molecular weight of (103 bp) and 31 P.aeruginosa at the molecular weight of (958 bp).
