The performance evaluation of a HYPR cationic surfactant to qualify as an air-entraining agent is presented in this paper.

When new surfactants are used a systematic study of the surfactant molecules ability to entrain air bubbles and stabilize them in the fresh cement paste.

This study investigate the properties of HYPR cationic surfactant and the influence of its concentration and mixing time on the density, compressive strength and hydration reaction of hardened cement paste specimens.

The results demonstrate the ability of using HYPR as air entraining agent because its ability to entrain appropriate dosage of air.
