Buying a home on interest outside western hemisphere : buying houses on credit

السؤال

We are studing the Islamic economy. There is a disputed question arises : we are as Muslims, can we take credits from conventional banks in our country (Kazakhstan) to do businesses or to buy homes on credit. Some our educated brothers say that it is not allowed by Shariah, there is Riba. This is disputed hard issue in our country among Muslims.
