Effect of some factors on the physical properties of PE BR blends

The effect of PE content on the vulcanization parameters, mechanical and physic-chemical properties of PE / BR blends have been studied.

It was found that the increase of PE decrease the values of MH,T90,Tsc, the mooney viscosity, elongation at break, adhesion, specific gravity, and the maximum degree of swelling.

Moreover, the value of tensile strength has been increased.

Four blends of PE/BR have been prepared with different ratios of PE (0PE / 100BR, 25PE / 75BR, 50 PE / 50 BR and 75 PE / 25 BR).

The effect of adding two types of carbon blacks N-326 and N-774 on the mechanical and physic-chemical properties of the above blends has been studied.

It was found that the increase of carbon black content results in a marked increase of ML, MH, mooney viscosity, tensile strength, hardness, specific gravity, and adhesion.
