The state has addressed the persistent housing crisis that prevails in Algeria by tackling the challenge of creating one million housing units.

This governmental solution is essentially based on quantitative measures, and has only partially responded to the housing problem, due to the fact that the qualitative aspect has been relegated to second place.

Our study aims to look at the quality of social housing in Algeria from the perspective of structure.

The objective is therefore to determine the degree of satisfaction with each of the agents involved in design, construction and usage, with respect to the elements of composition of the infra and the superstructure, in order not only to identify the anomalies but also highlight their causes.

The methodology is based on the evaluation of the quality of housing in relation to the realization of structural work in collective social housing in Algeria, with case studies such as Birtouta in Algiers, which has 1680 residences.
