This article includes an empirical study on the social background of women entrepreneurs in Algeria.

In recent years, the category of Algerian entrepreneurs has emerged as a prominent social group that is on the way to spreading and expanding its base.

Algerian women entrepreneurs have proven their presence as an active and influential player in the country's economic and social reality.

And cultural, which influenced the direction and choice of the world of risk and the dispatch of private enterprises, and this is what we will highlight in this article where we ask about the social background of women entrepreneurs in Algeria? What are the most important obstacles facing women in the field of entrepreneurship? These questions were answered by means of a field study by applying the descriptive approach to a sample of 20 women entrepreneurs in the center of Algeria.

It was concluded that women entrepreneurs have personal and professional characteristics that encourage them to enter the field of entrepreneurship.

Algeria is represented by sociocultural and organizational constraints.
