Resilience in Algeria : new actors for old governance ?

The Algerian rulers have resisted to the “Arab spring”, despite many factors that made the country eligible to social and political turmoil.

Economic growing difficulties are undoubtedly one of these factors.

In order to face this challenge, some nongovernmental actors, such as businessmen and civil society’s organisations, imposed themselves in the political sphere .

Regarding the increasing domestic challenges, do these actors represent new governance? To what extant do they take part in renewing the political regime’s social basis and legitimacy in order to strengthen the resilience of the decision makers?.
