This article provides an overview of the reception of Albert Camus in Jordan.
It offers a current overview of the influences and traces of the author of The Stranger in the Jordanian local literary areana: the universities, the critical responses and journalistic and institutional reception.
Based on interviews with Jordanian artists and writers, this paper contextualizes the inspirational influnce of Camu's versatile types of writing -- philosophical, poetic and novelistic -- on modernizing writings in Arabic literature.

Cet article propose un état des lieux de la réception de Camus en Jordanie.
Il dresse un panorama actuel de l’influence et des traces de l’auteur de L’Étranger dans l’espace littéraire local, dans le monde universitaire et dans le discours critique, journalistique et institutionnel.
À partir d’entretiens avec des artistes jordaniens, notre travail contextualise et présente diverses réécritures, philosophiques, poétiques et romanesques, de l’écrivain français inspirateur d’un renouveau dans les Belles Lettres arabes
