Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds and may the blessings and peace of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family and Companions until the Day of Judgment This study aims to uncover the great privilege bestowed on this family for being chosen, the reasons for their being eligible to be among the chosen people of Allah (Exalted be He), and the fact that this family name tops the list of the sûrahs (chapters) of the Holy Quran.

The study is divided into an introduction, a preface, two parts, and a conclusion.

The first part is about "The Choosing and Al `Imran." It includes the chosen ones in sûrat Al `Imran and the chosen ones among the worlds and prophets.

The second part is about "Al `Imran and the privilege of being chosen." It includes choosing `Imran's wife, Zechariah (peace be upon him) and his wife, and Mary and her son (peace be upon them).

An analytic inductive method is used in this study which ends with many important findings: first, being chosen is a status that cannot be reached unless the person is chosen by Allah (Exalted be He); second, the honor of this family is shown in how pious they were and in the prophetic descent and righteousness which was born from one generation to another; third, how the unusual strong belief in the mightiness and ability of Allah (Exalted be He) leads to supplication (Du`aa’) being answered.
