The study aim to shed light on Gladstone position towards the Armenian question.

Gladstone holding the office of prime minister in Britain for four times decided to retire from political work and public service, but the Armenian grievances made him reverse his decision Out of political and religious motivations, he launched a hostile and violent campaign against the Ottoman State through employing rhetorical speeches in mass meetings and sending seditious letters to gatherings he couldn't attend due to health reasons and advancement of age.

This resulted in inciting the public opinion in Britain against the Ottoman State.

The study aims to show Gladstone’s hostile attitude towards the Ottoman State as an Islamic state, and his resistance and incitement against it in Britain, through employing the Armenian question.

Descriptive method has been used in many aspects of research as well as analytical method
