This study aims at identifying the role of the public Jordanian universities in spreading the culture of peace from the point of view of population is from all Jordanian universities for the 2015-2016 academic year.

In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher developed a questionnaire consisting of (53) items divided into five areas: promoting social integration, rejecting extremism, Renounce Violence, dissemination of human values, promotion of dialogue, and after analyzing the data results of the study showed the following: The overall response of the students was to assess the reality of the role of the public Jordanian universities in spreading the culture of peace to a medium degree.

The results of all fields of study were of a medium degree.

The order of the fields was to spread the culture of peace in the following order: promoting dialogue, and then the field of dissemination of human values, then the area of non-violence, and concluded the study to propose educational grounds for the dissemination of a culture of peace in the public Jordanian universities, and in the light of the results of the study, the researcher presented many recommendations
