الملخص EN
The aim of the paper is to present the results of interpreta- tion of a local database of static vertical pile loading tests located in tlic north of Algeria with a size of 40 projects of pile foundations.
The interpretation of the loud-scttlcmcm curvcs allowed evaluating the ratio critical load to the ultimate load which was found varying in a narrow margin of 0.45-0 50 for the piles studied.
It was remarkably slated that the critical load corresponds to a pile settlement equal to the the refcrcce settlement which is dcfindcd as the ratio of the ultimate load to the initial pile stiffness.
The last pan concerns with a comparative study of the cur- rent pile design methods, and shows that with rcspcct to I he experimental overall pile bearing capacity the predic- tions of the pressuremctcr method (PMT) and the cone penetrometer method (CPT) although slightly optimistic are in good agreement.
