Reflexion methodologique sur le lien privatisation et performances des entreprises : cas de l'Algerie

Since the eighties, privatisation has become a major component of the global economic reforms.

The main objectives of privatisation consists of reducing the government's financial burden and its role in the economy, developing capital markets by promoting popular capitalism, and especially enhancing the efficiency and the performance of state owned enterprises(SOEs ).

This paper examines a conceptual framework for analysing the impact of privatisation on the financial and operating performance of privatised SOEs especially in developing countries.

It shows that the relation between privatisation and performance is a matter of interrelated variables such as economic, cultural, political and institutional factors.
