The study dealt with the effects of components of the capital structure in financing and investment decisions in the insurance sector - a case study: Blue Nile Insurance Company Limited.

The problem of the study laid in the answer of the following questions: Has the capital structure impact on the investment and financing decisions? Do long-term loans, affect the financing investment decisions? This study is important in that it, by trying to narrow the gap between theory and practice, through the analysis of the financing decision for insurance companies, relying on information from the reality of these companies.

Objective of the study is to identify the components of capital structure, and its impact on the financing and investment of the insurance company's decisions in the insurance sector, to determine the extent of harmonization with the findings of studies which identified many of the factors affecting the capital structure.

The study followed the deductive, inductive, historical and descriptive analytical methodologies.

The study reached to many findings, the most important are; investors and financial institutions should depend on the results of analysis and indicators of financial structure, this can help in evaluating the efficiency of the performance of the listed insurance sector and therefore provides the appropriate financial information financial and market clients in decision-making and investment financing.
