The past peaks and the future prospects : the collective practical challenging endeavours to face the algerian social downturn

Many people attributed the global financial crisis which affected the Algerian economy to December 1991’s political downturn related to the blocked electoral victory of the Islamic Salvation Front (FIS).

The aborted elections led Algeria to a state of instability because some Algerian sympathizers supported the opposition campaign against the new regime, and violence quickly spread throughout the country.

Since the crisis is now more than two decades over, it is needless, therefore, to lament the economic and the social situations, and to rekindle people’s dormant feelings and experiences.

Instead, it would be much important and more wise to account for people’s future prospect, to discuss the reality of the Algerian people, to know why money circulation is not appropriate, and to understand why job distributions is not regular, in the hey-day of Algeria when it had witnessed a very promising economic boom under the early rule of the President Abdelaziz Bouteflika shortly before the decline of oil prices in the world markets.
