الملخص الإنجليزي

The objective of this research is to define the role of university curricula in promoting the values of peace among the students of the Faculty of Education for Human Sciences from their point of view.

The sample consisted of (90) students, (51) students from the geography department and (39) students from the history department.

(2017-2018) were randomly selected and accounted for approximately (15%) of the total research community The alternative location in Duhok .

In order to achieve the objective of the research, this requires a questionnaire to measure the role of the university curricula in promoting the values of peace.

Therefore, the researcher prepared a questionnaire consisting of (26) paragraphs, and was characterized by honesty and persistence, by presenting them to a group of gentlemen in the field of educational and psychological sciences, After collecting and analyzing the data, the following results were obtained : 1- Percentage of the role of university curricula in promoting the values of peace from the perspective of students in the geography department (76.33%) and students of the history department (77.33%).

2- There is no statistically significant difference between the percentage achieved for the students of geography and history in the role of university curricula in promoting the values of peace and the assumption ratio (70%).

The researcher came out with a set of conclusions in the light of the results of the research, and made a set of recommendations as well as a number of proposals
