An educational program on re-emerging malaria for nursing staff in a military fever hospital

Malaria, an Anopleles-borne protozoan parasite is of public health importance.

The study aimed to improve Military nursing staff knowledge as to re-emerging malaria.

Setting: The study was carried out at a Military Fever Hospital.

Design: A quasi-experimental study (pre-post tests) was used.

The subjects were 30 nursing staff who accepted to participate in the study pilot study was done on 10% of them.

The study used composed of three tools as follows: (1) Socio-demographic characteristics of the studied Military and Educational needs assessment tool.

(2) Knowledge questionnaire sheet (pre / posttest) (3) Participants „evaluation Questionnaire sheet.

Results: showed statistically significant improvements in nursing staff knowledge
