Nietzsche’s impact on Gibran Khalil Gibran’s Literature

The present study is aimed at investigating the impact of Nietzsche’s philosophy on the literature produced by Gibran Khalil Gibran.

The latter was one of the Arab Renaissance Age literary authors affected by the former’s revolutionary thoughts, which were reflected in Arab literary and intellectual works.

The study also explores similarities and differences between Nietzsche’s and Gibran’s writings by citing excerpts from both writers’ works especially Gibran’s The Prophet, which is significantly affected by Nietzsche’s Thus Spoke Zarathustra.

Finally, the paper compares the style, content, thoughts and vision characterizing both, in a bid to provide comprehensive answers to the above main question.
