Researchers interested in the study of L2 acquisition aim to improve L2 pedagogy.

The primary source of data for those researchers is learner language.

They looked at the factors that influence second language acquisition taking into account the differences found between learners and their capability to acquire that language.

This article tries togive a general view of what is second language acquisition and encompass all possible points that may come under this field.
