The economy in the whole world moves towards an economy based on knowledge, we sought in this study on the level of promptitude to information and communication technologies in Algeria to know the possibility of this last with the orientation of the economy of the knowledge, and we were studied and analysed the indicators relating to information and communication technology, in accordance with the method of the Economic commission and social of Asia(ESCWA), we have discovered from there which and through the international reports promised on the position of Algeria with various Arabs countries and its world classification, we a shave conclude as in spite of the growth rates reached by Algeria in certain indicators of information and communication technology, but it’s still far from a procession of the Arabs countries and the rest of the world.

This study thus recommended to Algeria to re-examine their strategies and must support the infrastructure for information and communication technology
