This study provides a historical perspective about the role of Jerusalem in all of Islamic crusaders conflict from the death of Saladin until the fall of the Ayyubid state in 648 AH / 1250 AD.

The study shows that Jerusalem played the central point in the Islamic crusaders conflict, and had main role in prominent the position and justifications of the two parties in the contacts and negotiations which took place between them in all of the conflict stages.

The study was based on historical approach by collecting, criticizing and analyzing of historical narratives which dealt different stages of the negotiations.

The study also dealt with mainly on historical sources, without neglecting some modern Arab and foreign studies which dealt with some of their aspects.
