This study aims at investigating the effectiveness of computer- based learning( CBL) on the achievement of science students at the faculty of education, Tabouk university.

The sample of the study consists of 46 students from science students department ( Level 7).

This sample was randomly distributed and selected into two groups: an experimental group which consists of 23 students who were taught via the computer- based learning and a control group of 23 students who were taught via the traditional method.

To achieve the goal of this study, an achievement test was used and applied before and after the implementation of this study.

The results of analysis for the application before the study reveal the equation and resemblance of the two groups.

After analyzing students scores in the achievement test by using Mann-Whitney U, the results show significant statistical differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) between the mean scores of the two groups of students.

All of this is due to the teaching method used.

The differences towards groups were calculated.

The effect size indicates that the application of this method of instruction proved to be effective.

The results showed that the mastery level of learning for the experimental group has exceeded that of the control group.

This study recommends conducting more case studies in the field of educational applications of the computer.
