The phenomenon of corruption, especially in the banking sector are among the problems that international experts reports were unanimous on the need to address them, Corruption has become a global phenomenon rather than local, and have affected the stability of States economy in general and the banking sector in particular, which called for the need to set controls and rules deterrent to fight corruption, the issue of governance and compliance function in banks have gained a great deal of attention and care from the supervisory and regulatory authorities, international organizations and also the banking sector, both at the regional or international level.

We will try, through this study, to deal with corruption in terms of essence and causes, as well as the results, and the extent of the contribution of the application of the principles of corporate governance and compliance in banks in reducing the phenomenon of corruption in this sector and institutions dealing with it.
