This paper aims at investigating the role of private sector in achieving quality higher education in the Arab countries.

We have identified the main factors which influence quality higher education in the private sector, in order to benefit from relevant international experiences, and by underlining the most important factors of creativity and innovation that enhance the capacity of qualitative achievements, which reflect the best global practices in higher education resulting from the qualitative achievements of partnership with private sector in the provision of various forms of specialized higher education.

In addition, we aim at searching effective and efficient procedures which can be utilized to attain the strategic objectives of programs in higher education sector, and linking them to the demands of sustainable development in the Arab world.

We summarize the most important expected results from the participation of private sector in providing different types of higher education programs, and building control and accreditation mechanisms derived from international experiences of quality and excellence in private education.

Furthermore, we highlight the main obstacles faced by institutions in the private sector of higher education in the Arab world, and provide decision-makers and policymakers with some suggestions to fulfill the aspirations of leaders as well as their people regarding higher education in the Arab world and how to improve the quality of it.
