Despite recent advances in microsurgery and skull base techniques and availability of refined imaging and guidance modalities, craniopharygiomas pose a major challenge to surgeons.

The decision to attempt gross total resection versus subtotal resection combined with adjuvant therapies is an area of intense discussion, In our study we performed 8 cases of craniopharygimas by endoscopic transnasal transsphenoidal approach with very good results-that’s between 2012-2013 in Al-Assad University Hospital with less rate of death and complications than trans-cranial approach.

Despite advances in Radiosurgery techniques and other adjuvant therapies, surgery remains the gold standard for treating craniopharygimas.
