الملخص EN

This paper attempts to tackle a new rising topic in translation and translation learning.

It tries to spell out the impacts of the use of technology, its relation with translating and what technology does to language.

It explores translation students‟ perceptions toward using the Wiki as a technology-based translation-learning tool; in addition, the investigation addresses their perceptions toward using this learning technology to promote a collaborative translation approach in their translation learning process.

The study also aims at introducing the translation students to the learning potential of the Wiki technology that can be used in facilitating their translation learning experience and improving their translation learning performances that are compatible with the twenty-first century skills and needs.

This study targets university translation students.

Survey methodology is used to investigate the perceptions and preferences, and data is mainly collected through a questionnaire.

Translation students have positive perceptions concerning the Wiki use in general, but they show unsteady perceptions toward the collaboration process while working on translation assignments.

The translation students‟ backgrounds have limited impact on their perceptions toward using the Wiki for translation learning purposes.

Some limitations have affected this study such as the small sample used that made it necessary to have convenience versus random sample
