The main objective of the research is to try to demonstrate the freedom of the press and journalists in a logical sequence based on addressing the topics to be included in the framework of the study.

This was done through a statement that the journalists are the banner of enlightenment in contemporary societies because they have active contributions in all aspects of life.

Through this study, we exposed the problems faced by journalists in the course of their work and the dangers that these problems pose to journalists and other media professionals, And the importance of freedom of the press and the media and the protection of journalists and all media professionals in their work, through the texts contained in international conventions that emphasized the role of journalists and media, Therefore, these conventions decided to protect the journalist through general and specialized charters that came to establish the right of journalist and media to carry out his duties in a comfortable environment characterized by freedom of opinion and freedom of information.

The most important rights of the journalist legally established, and comes the right of intellectual property in its literary and financial branches.

As well as the right of reply and correction, this was decided to remedy the imbalance.

Due to the importance of this right, it was decided in the international conventions and highlighted in the UN Charter of International Press Honor in 1952 as well as within national legislation.

We reviewed the concept of press crime and the definition of the nature of the journalistic crime and its legal nature, and presented a model for the crimes that are harmful to religions through press publication, and our choice of this model is due to the seriousness of crimes that are harmful to religions and may be followed by sedition that may lead to internal strife and quarrel among the sons of the same homeland.

We conclude that the freedom of the press and the guarantees of journalists in countries with authoritarian regimes can be said of these guarantees as not devoid of the empty aspects of appearance.
