This study aimed at identifying the reasons for the phonological changes that take place at the end of the word (noun, verb, and letter) when the pronoun (ya) is connected to it, as well as explaining the reasons for these changes.

The researcher introduced the perspectives of the old and contemporary researchers regarding this issue and illustrated the aspects opposing that.

The researcher also attempted to interpret these changes phonologically in a manner that takes into consideration the nature of Phonetic formation in Arabic as well as its syllable system in addition to elaborating the connection of this pronoun with the words parts in Arabic and describing them linguistically and logically apart from the previous interpretations and their successors which are based on the long silent "Kasra”.

The researcher has concluded that the source of the changes and variations in Arabic sounds is attributed to the tendency of Arabic speakers to achieve a harmony in their verbal production.
