Since ancient times until the present day, the region of Touat in southwestern Algeria has witnessed the establishment of various treasuries for manuscripts, estimated to exceed seventy treasuries.

These treasuries for manuscripts have contributed to the preservation of the local heritage this region from the risk of damage and loss, and some of the most remarkable treasuries include The Bakri Treasury, The Kosam Treasury and the treasuries of El Mtarfa and Akebli.

The current research paper will tackle one of these treasuries, which is the Belbaliyah Treasury in Ksar Melouka, which is considered as one of the most important treasuries in the Ksars of Timmi.
