Despite the evolution of laws and regulations relating to women, as well as the increase in the rate of educated women and their invasion of the labor market, with an awareness of the new roles resulting therefrom, the values of masculinity well established in the collective imaginary and imprinted in our social personality, still enshrine the woman's inferiority and limit her freedom and participation in public life.

the attention given to women comes from the conviction that each individual, male or female, has a positive role to play in society, and must be recognized and rewarded.

although, the high amount of women in the Algerian media sector, and despite her contribution and success achieved in this sector, there is still a long way to go, in order to achieve equality in quality and quantity in this field, to overcome constraints and difficulties encountered in practicing this profession, which prevent women from accessing the decision-making centers in a convincing number, and to obtain also, the real image which reflects its true value as a professional or as an individual in society.

this is why; our study focuses on the following fundamental question: what are the real obstacles that prevent women from holding leadership positions in the media sector in Algeria and how to overcome them?
