This paper tackles the issue of media’s political functions from political socialization to political culture construction , these functions are multiple and nuanced and go beyond delivering News and environment control, to work on the formation of opinions and attitudes, and even changing political behaviour.It determine also the relationship between the media and political space through the historic extension by following their development and synchronize the progress of these means with the political practices, also illustrate its features and its different dimensions (legal, media, political, and institutional).

As well as highlighting the media „s political functions according to their various trends (monitoring, facilitative, radical, colaborative), and demonstrate the contribution of the media in the political socialization process, which is influenced by the media, both in terms of knowledge as a result of media exposure that increases cognitive and cultural awareness of individuals towards the political environment ,and on the affective level identifying positions and shaping trends adopted by these individuals towards political issues which are reflected through a real and effective participation in political life, based on political culture of the different parts of society.
