This research discusses one mountainous, desert area, located in Saudi Arabia.

This is known as the area of the two mountains.

The current research is dedicated to attempt to dress an overall background about this area, ranging from its capital province (Hail) to its outskirts, including some of its lands and mountains.

The approach used to reach this conclusion is literary-historical-geographic based, which sheds light on the influential contribution of the huge amount of poetry that mentions the history of the area investigated in this research.

This contribution boils down to referencing the history of this are, looking into its civilization throughout history.

In addition, this research attempts to map the relationship between literature and the historical dimension on the one hand, and the geographic issue, on the other hand.

This is done though investigating some unknown, non-referenced pieces of poetry, belonging to pre-Islamic, Islamic or Abbasi regime.

In association with this, the role this poetry played in referencing and recording events and occasions, locations and territories will be focused on.
