The road network is one of the basic infrastructures for economic social and urban development.

It is the main arteries of the economic activity, through which raw materials are being collected into the production areas and disposing of the product to the consumer markets.

The spread of urbanization and its transformation with the road networks and their extension also plays an effective role in achieving economic and social development.

the transport sector has a prominent role in supporting the national economy and in forming the necessary infrastructure for sustainable development in all fields.

This study addresses the road network, excluding railways, in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

The analysis of road networks and associated problems, and the resulting effects are not without any society, with the disparity in size and nature from one region to another.

The low quality of roads has become one of the real threats that interfere with improving the quality of life in Saudi cities for sustainable development.

Hence the need for this study to analyze and interpret the road network to achieve sustainable transportation.

Therefore, the problem of the study was the following main question: What are the most important spatial characteristics of the road network in Dammam? The study follows the methodological flexibility in addressing this subject, and it aims to: shed light on the characteristics of the geographical distribution of the road network; - Interpret the relationship between road network distribution and population distribution; - Analyze of the active points of the network (Hot Spot) and evaluation of spatial interconnection (autocorrelation) between them and the distribution of neighborhoods Dammam; - Determine the spatial patterns of the neighborhoods of Dammam according to the road network, The study also aims to provide some suggestions to the decision-
